Today I'm showcasing the beautiful paper flowers from I Am Roses with this cute, and adorable image from Make it Crafty called Pipi Petal Sprite.

Copics:

Flowers: C00, C2, Y13, YR23

When I make cards, I seem to stick to my usual favorite colors which tend to be teal and pink. I decided to give myself my own challenge and use yellow today. I'm not usually a yellow person, but when I see yellow I think of the sun and it makes me happy. It used to be my son's favorite color when he was little, so I thought I would give it a go today. And you know what? This bright, yellow card makes me smile and I LOVE it! I hope this cutie girl brings a smile to your face too!

I love flowers and bows so I had to incorporate them onto my sunshine card. These are the gorgeous I Am Roses flowers used on my card:

The quality and beauty of these paper flowers are exceptional! Once you place your first order you will be hooked! Remember, we have a monthly challenge on the I Am Roses Blog and there are always 4 prizes up for grabs. So be sure to come play along with us for a chance to win!!

Have a fabulous Thursday my friends!

DIES R US: Have A Magical Day with Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends!

Happy Thursday everyone! It's Rosemary here sharing this card created with Lawn Fawn Dies, Stamps and Paper. I really enjoy creating scene cards, and the awesome selection at DIES R US gives me so many options!! I love that they carry Lawn Fawn Stamps and paper along with a bunch of their dies. It makes creating a cohesive scene easy and fun!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++
The links to all of the products used for this card from the Dies R Us Store are shown below. Here is a step-by-step of how I created this card. I used Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Backdrop Portrait Die, Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends, and Lawn Fawn Simple Puffy Cloud Frames Dies.

First, I cut out the large hillside backdrop die from green cardstock twice. On the 2nd one, you don't need the full shape....just the bottom part.

On the 2nd piece, you are going to snip off the bottom part. I always like to raise that part on foam squares to give the card more dimension.

Here you can see what you need....the full die-cut and then just the bottom portion of the hillside.

Next I cut out the clouds, and added blue cardstock for the sky. The clouds have not been glued on yet. I'm going to add foam squares to the large cloud later. If you are going to stamp a sentiment like I did on the green panel, then you want to do that now before you add foam squares to the back.

Next, I stamped the house twice on watercolor paper, and once on the patterned paper. This pad is no longer in the store, but I linked the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid-Spring 6x6 Paper Pad below because the patterns are similar.

I cut around the patterned paper house. Next I took a craft knife and cut out the little window areas. I used Mustard Yellow Distress Marker to color yellow on the window on one of the blank images. Then I glued the patterned paper house on top of the house with the yellow window. Next, I used Distress Markers to color the door, step, and rooftop of the 2nd house. The green was Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, and Crushed Olive. The pink was Vintage Photo, Fired Brick, Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar. The door was Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo and Antique Linen. The step was Black Soot.

After the watercolor dried, I cut out the rooftop and door. I also colored the areas I'm paper-piecing black so if I didn't cut the roof and door precisely, the pattered paper underneath won't show.

I decided to do a simple paper tole effect on the house so I added foam squares (you can cut the squares so they fit better) to the roof and door.

You can see the raised effect here. Later, I ended up taking the foam off the back of the door and just gluing the door directly to the house. It worked better with the design.

Here you can see some of the dimension. The large cloud, the fairies, the house and the bottom green panel with the sentiment are all raised on foam squares. I did the same paper tole technique on the flowers next to the house.

Make it Crafty: FUNKY MOTHER

Happy Sunday everyone! It's Rosie here today. Before I get to my card, I wanted to remind you that there is still time to enter this month's challenge at Make it Crafty which is: Dew Drops. You can link up your creations HERE. Zoe has included a couple of awesome video tutorials on the challenge post to guide you along. Also, if you do a google search on how to color water droplets, you will find a lot of inspiration on the web.

This weekend, Make it Crafty released a few images perfect for Mother's Day or any occasion really: Country Mother, Funky Mother and Hammock Escape. They are available for purchase HERE. For my card today, I used the Funky Mother Digi Stamp. I think she's gorgeous! I printed her on Cryogen Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.

Copics:
Skin: E51, E21, E11, E13, E15
Hair: C2, C7, Black
Pink: R81, R83, R85, R39
Teal: BG11, BG13, BG15, BG18

I decided to go with a floral theme for this card. You know I love flowers and bows! The flowers are from I Am Roses. The paper/sentiment is from DCWV Vintage Collector 12x12 Paper Pad. The oval scallop was cut out using a My Favorite Things Die.

Have an awesome Sunday! Don't forget to share your creations with us in the MiC Facebook Group! We would love to oooooh and aaaah over your work!

Dies R Us: Dropping By To Say Hello featuring Gorjuss Girl Fly Away With Me!

Happy Thursday everyone! I'm dropping in with my first ever post as part of the Dies R Us Design Team. Dies R Us is an online store that carries a wide range of dies from various manufacturers at some of the lowest prices! In addition, they are always running specials and flash sales!! Sign up for their newsletter so you can get the flash sale info.

I'm so excited and thrilled to be a part of this amazing team! The ladies are all very talented and very supportive of each other! It's awesome!! I also LOVE that I'll have more opportunities to used some of these dies I've been collecting, or as my hubby says hoarding....hahaha! :)

I have been a lover of Gorjuss girls for a very long time, so I was thrilled when they came out with these awesome Gorjuss Paper Doll Dies! The great thing is that you don't have to color anything. The die set contains all of the separate pieces of the doll. It also comes with a few sheets of two different patterns of paper and a magnet sheet to store your dies on. The die set I'm working with today is called Fly Away With Me.

At the top of the magnet sheet, you can see the patterned papers included in this die set. There are 4 sheets of yellow and 4 sheets with the stripes. I cut the main shape and hair from black cardstock. Next, I cut the doll out of cream cardstock. The dress and balloon were cut from the yellow paper shown. If you look closely, you can see that the dress has little embossed stars. The die for the socks actually cuts out little rectangles so if you are cutting from solid cardstock it will form stripes. Since the paper included already had stripes, I traced around the sock die-cut with a pencil and used my scissors to cut out a new pair of socks.

I gave this doll some rosy cheeks using pink chalk. To distress the edges of her dress and socks (seen in the photo of the assembled doll), I used Black Soot Distress Ink. Next, I highlighted the embossed stars on her dress with the Uni-Ball Signo Pen-White. Finally, I used a Zig Glue Pen for the assembly process, starting with her socks and working my way up to her hair.

After assembling the doll, I glued her to the black silhouette piece. Then I added the white star to the balloon and glued that on last.

I used the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop Die to create my starry background scene. The large "hello" was cut out using the Lawn Fawn Scripty Hello Die. The "Dropping By To Say" sentiment is from Lawn Fawn For You, Deer Stamps. To give the card some added dimension, I used Thermoweb 3D Foam Squares behind the girl, balloon, and sentiment.
Boom! A pretty easy die-cut card that required no coloring. :)
