TGF Farm Fresh Friday~Easel Card!

WOO HOO, it's FRIDAY!! Isn't it amazing how many people across the world are saying the same thing? We all look forward to the weekend so we can sleep in and spend time with our loved ones. It's that thing that helps make life grand, isn't it?!

Well, you know today also means another Farm Fresh Friday and another chance at some FREEBIES from The Greeting Farm, WOOT, WOOT!!

Today's theme is to make an EASEL CARD! And, to help us out the amazing Annie Rose made this awesome pictorial to help! You can also google it to find additional tutorials on how to make an easel card. :)

For my card I used Blush Beatrice! I think she's adorable and a lot of fun to color!
Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Orange: YR00, YR02, YR04, YR09
Blue: BG10, BG53

I recently bought some new My Mind's Eye paper pads and today I used a gorgeous one called "The Sweetest Thing-Tangerine." It most definitely is! I don't usually like orange, but I LOVE this pad!
For the top of the card I used a Whimsy Stamp Corner Die and Recollection Pearls. The yellow flower is Kaisercraft Coconut Paper Blooms. The ribbon is from Walmart. The cute "happy" stick pin is from Little Yellow Bicycle. The paper doily is from Michaels. It was white, but I rubbed chalk all over it....easy way to add color to doilies! :)
Here's how to play:
  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz (below) no later than Thursday, March 28th at NOON CST.

Inspiration Monday~~Altered 3-D Project!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! Last week was spring break for my little guy. Although we didn't go out of state, we found quite a few things to do in Texas. We went to Alley Cats in Arlington (an arcade/laser tag place), Medieval Times in Dallas (a live jousting/medieval play), and Lego Land in Grapevine Mills (it's a huge mall with Lego Land and an Aquarium)...pretty cool!! I think we might have spent more money than when we've gone out of town, LOL! But to see the excitement on my little guy's face was well worth it!! :)

Today I'm back to share our next Challenge at La-La Land Crafts. This week the challenge is:

ALTERED 3-D PROJECT!

For my project today I used one of my fave stamps called Daisy Faerie Marci. I love faeries and mermaids so this stamp was right up my alley! I think she is beautiful and she was lots of fun to color. :)

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Daisies: G21, G24, G28, YR21, YR23
Dress: R01, R02, R22, R24, R27, R29, R59
Wings: BG10, BG53, BG57, R01, R02
Pearl Strand: BG10, BG53, BG57

I decided to alter one of the boxes I get every month from Birchbox. Birchbox is an online makeup company...they sell all sorts of different brands of makeup. I joined their monthly club and I get a little surprise every month. What's even better is that all my goodies come wrapped in this awesome, sturdy cardboard box....perfect for altering!! I made an easel card to sit on top of the box.

I used two La-La Land Crafts Dies: Grass Border and Creepy Vines. The mushroom paper and ribbon came from Michaels. The other dps are from MME. The red roses and blue cherry blossoms came from my friend Cebelica...thank you girl!

Here's a side view so you can see that it's an easel card sitting on top of the box. :)

Now don't forget you can play along with us by uploading your creations to our Customer Gallery.

We also have an awesome Facebook Page where you can share your cards and meet some great people!! It's also the place Irina announces special sales and give-aways! :) And, for those of you who are real social butterflies, we also have a Twitter feed!

Have a great week and please come back on Friday for more Inspiration!

Hugs,
Rosie

Happy Sunday everyone!! Today starts a brand NEW challenge for all of you at Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts!! If you didn't see the winner and Top 3 from the last challenge, check out this post HERE.

The challenge for the next 2 weeks is:

SPRINGTIME
(use spring colors, elements, etc.)

For those of you who don't own a Yumi and Fumi Handmade stamp, you can still play along. If you have any images from La-La Land Crafts, The Greeting Farm or Sister Stamps you can play.  We also added a new company, Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps.  However, if you happen to use a Yumi and Fumi Handmade image on your project your name will be thrown in to the drawing one more time. Unsure what qualifies for our challenges? Visit the Challenge info page by clicking the tab up top.

You have until Friday, March 29th to link up your project. Remember to use a direct link to your project and not your blog. Those entries could possibly be deleted.

For my "SPRINGTIME" card I used the super cute and versatile YUMI stamp. I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Copic X-Press It Blending Card and colored her with my trusty Copics.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Eyes: E42, E43, E44
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Shirt: BG10, BG53, BG57, R20
Pants: E41, E42, E43

One of my favorite paper companies is My Mind's Eye and today I used MME Miss Caroline Howdy Doody. Okay, now this just reminded me of my son's favorite joke from the movie Wreck It Ralph. Have you see it yet? It's an awesome movie! So, why did the hero flush the toilet? Because.....it was his duty (doody), bwahahahahaha!!! Okay, I'm done now, LOL! The large ribbon is from Michaels and the thin pink ribbon is from Martha Stewart. The large pink rose is from Kaisercraft Fairy Floss Paper Blooms. The blue cherry blossoms are from a dear friend! The large pearls are from Recollections.

Now what do we have for the winner? Besides an awesome personalized badge there will also be a prize package, which you can see on the Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts Blog. :)

The top 3 will receive a personalized badge and a special 10% off coupon code that you can use in the Y&F Shop.

My dps are from the Simple Stories SUMMER FRESH 6x6 pad. The red cardstock is from Core'dinations. The green scallop border is from a 12 inch border sticker set from Little Yellow Bicycle Canvas Borders. I cut the "Happy Day" strip from one of the dps in the Summer Fresh pad and glued it to the top of the Canvas Border then adhered it to the card with pop-dots. The cloud was cut out using The Greeting Farm Mini Clouds with Die set. The sentiment came with Golfing Oliver. I cut it out, outlined the paper edge with B91 and then used pop-dots behind it.
