Inspiration Monday~Tic Tac Toe Board!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are enjoying your long weekend! We had a great time spending time with our family. I'm sad to see them go back home today. :( I know I'll see them soon, but it's still hard. I'm glad summer vacation is right around the corner so we can spend more time with them! I also wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to all those who serve or have served in our Military! I appreciate all the sacrifices you have made to protect our many freedoms!
Today starts a new Inspiration Challenge at La-La Land Crafts. The theme this week is this Tic Tac Toe Board! Not sure how to play? All you do is pick a line across or down or diagonal and use at least those three items on your card!
For my card today I actually used a double tic-tac toe! I used the items on the diagonal (pink, dies, & doily) and items going down (pink, flowers & ribbon). My image is the CUTE Heart Balloon Marci. I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her skin & hair with Copics. The rest of her is paper-pieced. :)
Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Clothes/Shoes/Balloon: Paper-pieced
I also used a few La-La Land Crafts DIES:
Berry Flourish
My dps are from My Mind's Eye. The large pink flower is from Kaisercraft. The cherry blossoms are from my friend Cebelica....love that lady!! The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the pearls are from Recollections. The doily is from Walmart.

Don't forget, you can join in all the fun at La-La Land Crafts by adding your creations to the Customer Gallery, Facebook Page and Twitter Feed. Be sure to swing back by the LLLC Blog on Friday to see more inspiration from Team Friday. Have a great week!
Hugs,
Rosie :)

Yumi & Fumi Challenge #17~ALL ABOUT DAD!

Good morning to all you lovely folks! In remembrance of Memorial Day coming up on Monday, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have served and are still serving in our military! My family and I appreciate the sacrifices you have made to help keep us safe and protect our country! Thank you for all that you do!

Today starts a new challenge over at Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts! For the next two weeks, the theme is:

ALL ABOUT DAD!

With Father's Day right around the corner it's a great opportunity to get started on those Father's Day projects. I just wanted to say I was truly blessed to have an amazing father! He passed away 6 1/2 years ago, but he's always on my mind and in my heart. I am also doubly blessed because my husband is an amazing father! He does so much for Isaiah and really works hard to spend quality time with us as a family. I love that man so much and really appreciate all that he does!

Now don't forget we do have rules at Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts. You can read the rules by clicking on the Challenge info tab. Please make sure your card qualifies before you link up, otherwise we may have to remove your project.  The winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to the Yumi and Fumi online store.  That's right, you get to choose what you want! And we can't leave out our top 3, who will receive a 10% discount.

We require an image for our challenges.  We are a stamp company after-all. :) If you use a Yumi & Fumi Handmade stamp on your project, you will be entered into the drawing twice. We realize some of you might not own one of our stamps so you may also use an image from Sister Stamp, La-La Land Crafts, The Greeting Farm or Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. They won't count twice, but you'll qualify to be entered in the drawing. We hope you'll consider playing along.

Now on to my card! I used the super CUTE Chasezilla! He's stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics.

Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Eyes/Eyebrows: E47, E44
Suit: G21, G24, G28, YR21, YR22

My awesome textured dps came from The Paper Company. The black one is called Black Rain Drops and the green one is called Crocodile Green....LOVE them!! I think I bought them at Hobby Lobby and clearance so not sure they are still available, but they are so much fun!

I just hand wrote the sentiment "You're a DINO-mite DAD!!" The corners were made using a Whimsy Stamps Corners Die. I also used one of my new Nellie Snellen Flower Multiframe Die....it's AWESOME! The ribbon came from Hobby Lobby and the pearls are from Recollections.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention, I made an Easel Card. I raised Chasezilla and the sentiment up on pop-dots. :)
Now it's your turn! We're looking forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations over the next two weeks on the Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts Blog. Challenge #17-All About Dad ends Friday, June 7th at Noon, PST. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a great Sunday!!

Hugs,
Rosie

TGF Farm Fresh Friday~~Make an Interactive Card!

TGIFriday everyone! I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything that's been going on in Oklahoma. But this weekend I plan on taking a break from the footage and emotions and just spend quality time with the family. My BIL, SIL, 2 nieces, 1 nephew and 1 really great friend who's part of the family are all driving down from Oklahoma to spend time with us in Texas for the long weekend. I'm so excited to see them all and just give them big hugs!! My niece's bday was May 22nd so we're also going to celebrate this weekend with her! I can't wait to take her shopping!! :)
Today starts a new Farm Fresh Friday Challenge at The Greeting Farm.
This week's theme is:
Make It Move!
(make an interactive card)

Well, this one's an exciting challenge, don't ya think?!! I decided to use the super adorable Garden Anya and TGF Fence Die for my card (sorry for the glare on the photo). It looks like an ordinary card, right? But wait for it.......

Pink: R81
Yellow: Y21, YR23
Basket: E41, E42, E43, E44

My dps are from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline DILLY DALLY 6x6 paper pad. The lace and flowers were from my friend Cebelica. The pearls are from Recollections.

7 Kids College Fund~~Embellishment Challenge!

I just want to say my heart and prayers are with the state of Oklahoma. I am from Oklahoma and lived there 18 years before moving to Texas this past August. We still have family and friends there so it was a frantic day trying to get a hold of all of them. Fortunately all of our family and friends are okay! But if you've seen the footage, you know that there are so many people reeling from losing a loved one or their homes. It's horrific and heart-breaking seeing all the images on the news. My hearts breaks for all of Oklahoma. I hope you will join me in lifting them up in prayer.

Today starts a new Challenge over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog! For the next 2 weeks the challenge is:

Embellishments!

Now be sure to use an image that 7 Kids College Fund carries in the store in order to qualify for the $20 Gift Certificate drawing!! :)

For my card today I used a new stamp I recently bought called Stamping Bella "I Carry Your Heart With Me" by Diane Duda. I'm a big fan of Diane Duda and have several of her prints that I'm going to frame and hang in my studio (whenever I get time to get that organized!). You can only imagine how excited I was to see that 7 Kids is now carrying these awesome line of stamps!! I stamped her on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics.

 Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11
Hair: E44, E47, E49
Pink: R81, R83, R85
Dress: E40, E42, E43

I used some gorgeous dps from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found BLUSH 6x6 paper pad. The pink flowers are Kaisercraft Fairy Floss Paper Blooms. I also used La-La Land Crafts Creepy Vines Die. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the pearls are from Recollections. The "love" pin is from Little Yellow Bicycle. The sentiment comes with the stamp. I just cut out each word, inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and then popped each word on pop-dots.

We hope you play along with us over the next 2 weeks! I can't wait to see what you make!! I'm sure I'll see a lot of you entering this challenge. Just be sure to use an image carried in the 7 Kids College Fund Store to qualify for the prize and top 3!

Have a great week!
Hugs,
Rosie

TGIFriday! I hope you all have had an awesome week! At least it's finally the weekend so it's time to relax and recuperate! I've been trying to exercise every day and man it's a lot of work, but it's my year to get healthy so I've got to be dedicated. You know that saying, "I'm not dieting....it's a lifestyle change"? Well, I'm trying to take it to heart! So far I've worked out at least once a day this week (sometimes twice). My friend and I are training to run a half-marathon, but I can't even run for 2 minutes, LOL! I've got a lot of work ahead of me!! :)

Today starts a new Farm Fresh Friday Challenge at The Greeting Farm.

7 Kids College Fund Challenge~~Anything But A Card!!

Today starts a new Challenge over at the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog! For the next 2 weeks the challenge is:

Anything But A Card!

Now be sure to use an image that 7 Kids College Fund carries in the store in order to qualify for the $20 Gift Certificate drawing!! :)
My little boy's school is celebrating Teacher Appreciation this week. He has an amazing teacher so I'm in the process of making several things for her. Her classroom is decorated with an ocean theme so I thought this little Nautical Canvas would be one of her little gifts.
I made the scene using the DoCrafts Nautical Build-A-Scene Die set. There are lots of amazing shapes to create an awesome sea/ocean scene! I love the whale!! I colored the background on the canvas by squirting Copic Colorless Blending Solution all over, and then adding drops of Tim Holtz Distress Ink Reinkers (Salty Ocean, Peacock Feather, Squeezed Lemonade, & Festive Berries) on top and sponging the color around with a cotton ball.

My dps are from Authentique Peaceful 6x6 paper pad. I distressed the edges of the dps and the quote with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The quote is from Dylusions Quintessential Quotes (DS013). I raised the sails of the boat on pop-dots for added dimension. The blingy swirls are from Recollections.

I hope to see you playing along with us! We love seeing all your wonderful creations!! Don't forget to qualify for the prize you have to use an image from 7 Kids College Fund!

Hugs,
Rosie :)

My black/white dps came from Authentique Peaceful 6x6 paper pad. The awesome bling with flowers is from Recollections. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The white rose is from Kaisercraft Coconut Paper Blooms and the cherry blossoms are from my wonderful friend Cebelica.
Do you see which La-La Land Crafts Die I used?? It's the new Bridge Die (right behind Marci). The white doily came from Walmart. I also raised Marci on pop-dots for added dimension.

Now don't forget you can play along with us by uploading your creations to our Customer Gallery.
